It is time to review the conditionals and distinguish each one.
- Zero conditional
If + subject + present simple, subject + present simple
If it snows, it is very cold.
- First Conditional
If + subject + present simple, subject + will + verb (infinitive = base form)
If you work hard, you will finish the project
- Second Conditional
If + subject + past simple, subject + would + verb (infinitive = base form)
If I won the lottery, I would buy a big house.

If + subject + past perfect (had + past participle), subject + would + have + past participle
If he had studied for the exam in December, he would have passed the exam
- Activity 3. Fill in the gaps so as to build correct type Third (3) conditional sentences:
1. If you hadn´t had some protection, you would have damaged your eyes.
2. It would have been impossible to enter to the building if the porter hadn´t been there.
3. If the flight hadn´t been delayed, my boss would have arrived on time to the meeting.
4. If the driver had stopped at the red sign, I wouldn´t have had the accident.
5. I would have eaten the soup if it hadn´t been so salty.
